Five minutes in a busy Los Santos lobby is enough to teach you one thing: standing in the open gets you killed fast, no matter how much GTA 5 Money someone has burned on toys. Know when not to fight

If you're low on armor, down to scraps for snacks, or hauling something you really can't afford to lose, leave. That's not cowardly. It's smart. Half of staying alive in GTA Online is just reading what's about to happen before it happens. Watch the minimap. Listen for tires, rotor blades, footsteps on concrete. You'd be surprised how often that little bit of awareness saves you before the shooting even starts. Once you know where someone's coming from, you stop reacting and start setting the pace.
Winning more fights without forcing them
The players who survive the longest usually aren't the wildest or the fastest. They're the ones who stay patient, hold the better angle, and don't panic when things get messy. That's the shift. Stop thinking of every fight as a straight-up duel and start treating the whole area like part of the weapon. Corners matter. Elevation matters. Escape routes matter.
