Japan On Canvas 2024
We took our commitment to art at the Top Boarding School in Delhi forward by participating in Japan on Canvas 2024 (2024). This prestigious competition invited young artists from across the country and captured the beauty of Japanese culture. This year, JOC 2024 welcomed more than five thousand entries from 219 schools. Several creative students at the Top Boarding School in Sonipat Haryana from the classes of 4 to 12 showcased their creativity. They interpreted Japanese themes like festivals, culture and figures of history.
In this event three distinct categories were incorporated. These categories were well-suited to specific grade levels where students demonstrated their creativity and talents. Students belonging to Grades 4 to 6, expressed their imaginations and creativities by making artworks depicting exciting Japanese festivals. With bright shades, the beauty of traditional celebrations was diligently conveyed by the students. Students from Grades 7 to 9 participated by capturing Japan’s monumental cultural landmarks. They made artworks that highlighted the ethereal architectural marvels and natural wonders. Finally, students from Grades 10 to 12 portrayed the historical figures from influential personalities to people whose legacies resonate worldwide in Japan’s rich and deep history.
Jaanya Jain from the 11th Grade won the Outstanding Performance Award in the third category. With her dedication, intricate skills and in-depth understanding of cultural diversities made her stand out among other participants. We take immense pride in her and her achievement added to the achievements of our school community. The contributions of the Best Boarding School in Delhi to the Japan on Canvas 2024 wholeheartedly showcased and encouraged the amalgamation of art with education.
